Welch’s Wonderland
Retail Space Design
Welch’s is a national brand since the 90’s, it’s a memorable piece, and their product were usually seen in grocery stores, most importantly, the products are for families. The adult back in the 90’s must be familiar with claw machines, toy capsule vending machines, and arcade, etc. Not only do adult enjoy these, but so do kids; it’s welcoming to all age to interact with the brand. Bringing old elements together connected, people resonate with the brand. So I combined these ideas with nostalgic grocery store, then had the concept of creating a retro wonderland for Welch’s popup store.

Starting from the “experience,” the main feature is “juice.”
Customers can press their own juice with the freshest fruit by Welch’s.
Then in the popup store, customers can also enjoy the playful gaming machines (claw machines, toy capsule vending machines, arcade, photo booth, etc.) The pop up store also collaborated with the well-knowned arcade “Pac Man” to better enhance the 90’s retro experience.
Another experience in the pop up store is the handmade station that collabs with “Fruit of the Loom.” Fruit of the Loom is a sustainable conscious clothing brand with more than a hundred years of history, customers can DIY their own clothes and have fun with it. There is also shelf display for Welch’s product for sale (in limited edition packaging), and the popup store is social media welcoming.
